Customization

Rings

Add concentric rings to hold more shortcuts.

Rings are concentric circles of shortcut slots around the center of the radial menu. The innermost ring is Ring 1. You can add up to 5 rings per menu, each with its own capacity and layout settings.

Managing rings

Go to Settings → Rings. The visual diagram on the left shows all your rings. Click a ring in the diagram to select it and edit its settings on the right.

Adding and removing rings

  • Click Add Ring to add a new outer ring to the current menu
  • You can have up to 5 rings per menu
  • To delete a ring, select it and click Delete Ring (only available for rings beyond Ring 1)

Per-ring settings

SettingDescription
Max AppsThe number of slots in this ring. Range: 4–16. Default for Ring 1: 8.
Ring AngleRotates all icons in this ring by the specified number of degrees (0–360°). Useful for aligning icons with specific directions.
Ring SpacingControls how far this ring is from the ring inside it. Range: 0–2×. Higher values space the ring further out.

Icon sizing across rings

Icons in outer rings are automatically scaled down slightly relative to the inner ring to preserve visual hierarchy. You do not need to configure this manually.

Overflow rings

When you use the running apps filter and there are more running apps than your configured rings can hold, Loopty automatically creates overflow rings on the fly to display them. These auto-created rings use a golden-angle spiral layout for even, non-overlapping icon placement. They are removed when the filter is turned off.

Note: Each menu has its own independent ring configuration. Adding a ring to one menu does not affect other menus.
