Using Loopty
Adding Files
Add file shortcuts to open documents and files instantly.
File shortcuts let you open any document, script, or file directly from the radial menu. Clicking a file shortcut opens it with its default application.
From the Files tab
- 1Open Settings (⌘, or menu bar → Settings).
- 2Go to the Files tab in the sidebar.
- 3Click Choose File to open a file picker, then select the file you want to add.
- 4The file appears in the grid. Drag it onto a slot in the radial menu preview in the Rings tab.
How files open
Clicking a file shortcut in the radial menu opens it using macOS's default app for that file type, the same as double-clicking it in Finder.
Icon display
File shortcuts display the file's native icon as it appears in Finder. Use the icon size slider in the Files tab to adjust how large the icons appear in the grid.
Note: If you move or rename a file after adding it as a shortcut, the shortcut will stop working. Remove it and re-add it from the new location.
