Appearance

Customize the look and feel of your radial menu.

The Appearance tab in Settings gives you granular control over how the radial menu looks. All changes take effect immediately.

Opening Appearance settings

Open Settings (⌘, or menu bar → Settings) and click Appearance in the sidebar.

Radial menu

SettingDescription
ScaleControls the overall size of the radial menu. Range: 0.1×–3.0×. Default: 1.6×.
TightnessControls how close icons sit to the center. Lower values spread them out; higher values pull them in. Range: 0.5×–2.0×.
AnimationChoose how the menu appears: Fan Out (icons sweep out from center), Pop In (icons scale in place), or Instant (no animation).
App Labels on HoverWhen enabled, hovering over an icon shows its name in a label at the center of the menu instead of inline below each icon.
Running IndicatorShows a small dot beneath icons whose app is currently running.
Hide Close ButtonHides the × dismiss button in the center of the menu.
Close Button SizeControls the size of the center close button (when visible). Range: 0.5×–2.0×.

Backgrounds

SettingDescription
Background CircleToggles the frosted glass background disc behind the menu icons.
Background Circle ColorSets the tint color of the background circle.
Background SizeControls how large the background circle is relative to the menu. Range: 0.1×–2.0×.
Icon BackgroundsToggles the individual material circles behind each icon.
Icon Background ColorSets the tint color of the per-icon background circles.
Icon Background SizeControls how large each icon's background circle is. Range: 0.1×–2.0×.

Focus

SettingDescription
Custom Focus RingWhen enabled, a colored ring appears around the focused icon instead of the default highlight.
Focus Ring ColorSets the color of the custom focus ring.
Focus StyleControls how the focused icon animates: Icon Grow (scales up), Icon Shrink (scales down slightly), or None.

Per-type icon size

Each shortcut type has its own icon size slider, found in the corresponding Settings tab (Apps, Folders, Files, Websites). This controls how large those icons appear both in the Settings grid and in the radial menu.
