Customization

Hotkeys & Shortcuts

Configure keyboard and mouse shortcuts to open Loopty.

All triggers for opening Loopty and navigating the menu while it is open are configurable in Settings → Shortcuts.

Keyboard hotkey

The keyboard hotkey opens or dismisses the radial menu from anywhere on your Mac. The default is ⌥Space (Option+Space).

  1. 1Open Settings and go to the Shortcuts tab.
  2. 2Click the Keyboard field. It will enter recording mode.
  3. 3Press the key combination you want (e.g. ⌘⌥Space, ⌃F1, etc.).
  4. 4The field updates to show your new shortcut. It is registered immediately.

Mouse click trigger

You can open Loopty by pressing two mouse buttons in quick succession. Click the Mouse Clicks field in the Shortcuts tab and perform the button combo you want. Available combos include Right+Left, Left+Right, Right+Middle, Left+Middle, Middle+Left, and Middle+Right.

Cycle menus key

While the radial menu is open, pressing this key cycles to the next menu in your list. The default is Z. This is a bare key (no modifier required) and is configured in the Shortcuts tab under Cycle Menus.

Running apps filter key

While the radial menu is open, pressing this key toggles the running apps filter, switching the view to show only currently running applications. The default is Space. Configure it in the Shortcuts tab under Running Apps Filter.

Per-menu direct-launch hotkeys

Each menu (other than the Main Menu) can be assigned its own global hotkey that activates that menu and opens it directly, without cycling. Configure these in Settings → Menus.

Note: While any hotkey field is in recording mode, all of Loopty's global shortcuts are temporarily unregistered to avoid conflicts. They are restored as soon as you finish recording.
