Multiple Menus

Create and manage multiple radial menus for different workflows.

Loopty supports multiple named menus, each with its own set of rings and shortcuts. This lets you organize shortcuts by context. For example, a Work menu, a Personal menu, and a Dev Tools menu.

Managing menus

Open Settings (⌘,) and click Menus in the sidebar. Here you see all your menus listed with their active status.

Creating a new menu

  1. 1In Settings → Menus, click Add Menu at the bottom of the list.
  2. 2A new menu is created with one empty ring.
  3. 3Click the menu name to rename it.
  4. 4Switch to the Rings or Apps tabs to add shortcuts to the new menu.

Switching between menus

There are three ways to switch the active menu:

  • Cycle key: while the radial menu is open, press the cycle key (default: Z) to step through your menus one at a time
  • Direct-launch hotkey: assign a unique global hotkey to any menu; pressing it activates that menu and opens it immediately
  • Settings: click any menu in Settings → Menus and click Activate to make it the active menu

Assigning a direct-launch hotkey

  1. 1In Settings → Menus, select a menu (other than the Main Menu).
  2. 2Click the hotkey field next to that menu.
  3. 3Press the key combination you want (e.g. ⌥1, ⌥2).
  4. 4Pressing that hotkey from anywhere will activate the menu and open the launcher immediately.

Renaming and deleting menus

Double-click a menu name to rename it. To delete a menu, select it and click Delete. The Main Menu (the first menu in the list) cannot be renamed or deleted.

Note: Each menu has its own independent set of rings, slot counts, angles, and spacing. Changes to one menu's rings do not affect other menus.
