Installation
How to download and install Loopty on your Mac.
Getting Loopty running on your Mac takes less than a minute.
- 1Download Loopty: click the Download button on the Loopty website. The download is a standard macOS .dmg disk image.
- 2Open the disk image: double-click the .dmg file once the download completes. A Finder window will appear with the Loopty app icon.
- 3Move to Applications: drag the Loopty icon into your Applications folder. This is the standard macOS installation method.
- 4Launch Loopty: open Loopty from your Applications folder. On first launch, macOS may ask you to confirm you want to open an app downloaded from the internet. Click Open.
- 5Grant Accessibility permissions: Loopty will prompt you to allow Accessibility access. Click Open System Settings, find Loopty in the list, and toggle it on. This permission is required for Loopty to detect your hotkey and mouse gestures.
Note: Accessibility permissions let Loopty register a global hotkey and detect mouse button presses system-wide. Loopty only uses these permissions to trigger the menu. It never reads your screen, clipboard, or keystrokes outside of the configured trigger.
After installation
Once permissions are granted, the Loopty icon appears in your menu bar. The default trigger is Option+Space (⌥Space). Press it anywhere to open your radial menu for the first time.
