What is Loopty?
An overview of Loopty and what it does.
Loopty is a radial launcher for macOS. Instead of reaching for the Dock or invoking Spotlight, Loopty summons a circular menu right at your cursor, giving you instant access to your apps, folders, files, and websites from wherever your hand already is.
How it works
Trigger Loopty with a global hotkey or mouse button combo and a ring of icons blooms around your cursor. Move to the item you want and click (or use the scroll wheel and arrow keys to navigate) and it launches instantly. Press Escape or click the center button to dismiss without launching anything.
What you can launch
- Apps: any macOS application installed on your system
- Folders: open directories directly in Finder
- Files: open documents and files with their default app
- Websites: open bookmarks in your preferred browser
Key features
- Multiple menus: create separate menus for different workflows and switch between them instantly
- Rings: add concentric rings to hold more shortcuts without crowding the menu
- Running apps filter: toggle a view of only your currently running applications
- Full customization: control size, animation, background circles, icon backgrounds, focus styles, and more
- Config import/export: back up and restore your entire setup as a JSON file
- Completely free: no subscription, no trial, no hidden costs
Loopty is built natively for macOS using SwiftUI, runs as a lightweight menu bar app, and supports both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
